I want

The Chang’s went shopping at Ontario Mill yesterday. It was a nice time hanging out. The mall wasn’t as crowded as I thought it was going to be. I guess the actual ‘sale’ wasn’t going on just yet. At the end of the day, I brought back a dress (only $5 at the GAP!), pair of jeans (which I might return), and a pair of boots.

Now I say the boots last because I had quite a dilemma before buying them. I contemplated between two I really wanted. Eventually I chose the ones that were more affordable. I went home thinking that I made the right choice. But as I thought about it some more I don’t think I did.

It’s sad that in the mist of my fincial stump, I’m still allowing myself the luxuary of buying for pleasure. I know they’re just a pair of boots, but after choosing to buy this particular pair, I realized that I wouldn’t have be satisfied even if I bought the OTHER pair. I wanted both. And I’m not gonna lie, I still do.

I know it’s okay to give myself some leeway, but it’s hard to differenciate when it’s actually okay to do so. The Bible talks about being good stewards, and I’m just trying to figure out if these boots are a sign of whether or not I’m taking care of things that are more important.

blanks bliving

My title has nothing to do with anything. It’s just another copout title because I can’t think of any other words that encompasses the ideas of what I’m about to post.

I actually don’t know what to post about…

End of the Week

This week has been one of the more relaxing weeks this semester. As I’m approaching week 12 of school, it feels like I just started not too long ago.

After finally having the time to sit down and surf the net and catching up on my blog readings, I realized how far behind I am with the rest of the world. I’m not only talking about the news aspect or technological sense, I’m talking about EVERYTHING.

I realized that a lot of ideas and theories that people are having are not new. Many have already been discovered by people LONG ago.

I’m not sure where I’m going with this. I have no inspirational thoughts right now. All I have is a sore hip from sleeping improperly.

HAPPY REFORMATION DAY

Hello world,

Tonight, while many celebrated the Day of the Dead, a few of us decided to learn and celebrate an event from history that meant a lot more –Reformation Day.

As silly as it sounds, it’s actually a very powerful story concerning a man named Martin Luther. I’ve always known about Luther and his 95 Theses, but never the details of his story.

Anyways, I think I appreciate my Bible a lot more after tonight…
